I have no worries about Bryzgalov. The offense will come. They were getting tons of chances on Florida, it will come.

He's had typical rookie ups and downs. He had a strong game against Florida, not so good against Pittsburgh.

Philadelphia's once potent offense has stumbled recently with one goal or fewer in six of their last 14 games. They have still managed to enjoy success, with an 8-2-1 record in their past 11 contests, thanks to strong goaltending and solid defensive play, but their lack of offense on several nights has to be a concern. The Flyers rank third overall in the league with a 3.14 goals for average per game, so they are more than capable of filling the opposition's net and turning this around.

I only did so because on Spector's hockey, one of my few must reads, had a link that said Frank Seravalli says that Ilya Bryzgalov is only goalie the Flyers have signed next year.

That was too stupid to NOT click.

My understanding is he was promoted from beat guy to general sports columnist...seems he will be the Delco Times version of Rich Hofman
